Brother Meyers

We have connected with our director in Laie.  His name is Pete Meyers. He teaches a couple of religion classes at BYU Hawaii,a night institute class in Laie, and 2 classes at the University of Hawaii’s institute. He also supervises 6 early morning seminary programs on the north shore of Oahu.  That poor man must not have much free time.  We can hardly wait to start helping him.  He said we will start teaching a new institute class on Wednesday nights as well as helping with outreach for institute from Kahului to Kaneohe on Hawaii.  He has arranged for us to have a car from the mission.  Sister Rasmussen is the senior missionary zone leader in Laie.  There are over 100 senior missionaries in Laie who work at BYU-H, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the temple visitor’s center.  She is looking for us an apartment there.

We have just 2 more months left before we leave.  We are spending a lot of time with our family filling our “love bucket.”  We will miss them but we have a hunch some of them may find their way over to see us in Hawaii.
